VIDEO: Accessibility, inclusion and equality for people with disabilities in Colombia during the pandemic
The session presents the relationship of copyright with the right of access to works by people with disabilities in the Colombian context, on the one hand it exposes the foundations and intersection of these rights and on the other it highlights that universal design , reasonable accommodations and exceptions to copyright are “mechanisms” to guarantee the right of accessibility, inclusion and equal opportunities that must be applied in physical and digital environments, all the more so when the advent of the pandemic and isolation mandatory increased the needs for goods and services such as internet connectivity, technology and accessible content.
