Disabled access to copyrighted material
During the COVID-19 pandemic, old problems related to the harmonization between copyright and educational and cultural rights intensified, generating doubts and debates among education, law and information professionals. This discussion becomes especially poignant when it focuses on people who are blind, visually impaired, or have other difficulties (for example, people with quadriplegia or dyslexia).
Reflecting on the Marrakesh Treaty and how it is being implemented in these countries, and more specifically in Brazil, is crucial, since through it the Brazilian State will make important decisions, adapting the Treaty to the national reality. This table has this approach and for this it will be composed of representatives from the areas of education, law, information science, library science and special needs.
