The organization of the Global Congress on Intellectual Property and the Public Interest that decided to do the Week of Intellectual Property, Public Interest and Covid 19 at the beginning of October wants to say Thank You. We are very glad with all the people that contributed to this effort as funders, panelists, organizers and audience who joined the activities organized between 5 and 9 October 2020 virtually.
We are proud to share with you that this event exceeded expectations and reaffirmed the importance of continuing to talk about these issues and to open spaces for dialogue and exchange of knowledge for the community that, at the global level, from academia and activism thinks about public interest in relation to intellectual property.
Some data from the event
*More than 600 participants joined during the week’s activities.
*We were able to reach diverse audiences around the world thanks to the fact that all events had simultaneous translation in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
*This virtual version had 31 events including central conferences, panel discussions, ted talk, strategic meetings, among others.
*The virtual version of evenReal allowed us to record the sessions for later dissemination.
*We held events with participants from Brazil, Canada, the United States, Colombia, Israel, Sudan, Uruguay, Mexico, Switzerland, India, Australia and the United Kingdom.
*The videos remained in a Youtube channel that have already been seen more than 1000 times as a whole.
The following is a list of the names of each of the events and their videos, which are undoubtedly a great contribution to the current situation and trace a path for the discussions that we must continue to build around the Intellectual Property, Public Interest and Covid 19.
